Question

Answer

Would a Dreamer be able to come in with signs of malnourishment?

It'd be up to you! Sanje DOES want his Dreamers to be happy, but if those problems are so deeply tied to their soul, he could only do so much. And any wise deity knows that some problems you need to solve yourself.

Question

Answer

Is there a force in place to rescue the good people from vices/ a vice eradication or removal service?

Yes!! They were only mentioned a little in the Vice page, but that would be the Hunters and The Guard! The Guard is the royal guard and would handle any type of problems around the kingdom as a whole. The Hunters are a group trained specifically for handling the Vices.

Question

Answer

What is the weaponry level of Urroa? Can the Hunters and The Guard use guns? Do they use guns on Vices? And, if yes, would they be more traditional real world guns or more like magic guns?

Swords, magic, claws, any sort of medieval/magical weapon you can think of. And guns DID exist as a thing in Urroa at one point in history, but after seeing what chaos and pain they can cause on a large scale in the wrong hands, were outlawed and decommissioned. Cannons are a thing though and are only used on large scale threats

Question

Answer

Is there any limit on technology in Urroa? Like, smart phones, TVs, or any magical equivalent? Social media?

Yes there is TV, smartphones, internet and the such! They're just fun magical versions of it! Cars and most modern modes of transportation are NOT a thing though. The most they have are trains, ships, and airships. Or their own legs and wings, of course!

Question

Answer

How would the nursery caretakers react to a starlit who was constantly asleep during the day, and could never get sleep at night? One who was, kind of nocturnal?

Urroa does mean a lot to the Starkins, but so does Ummit! While I can't speak for EVERY Nursery worker (For example: ones that don't have NPC sheets/random ones) but I know Terra at least would just see that lil Starlit as one that was a lil more loved by Ummit. At most she'd be more worried about their health and social life. Can't make friends or stay super healthy if you aren't up during the day and getting NO sunlight.

Akuna, not being from this world originally, would take a more practical approach and simply go out if his way to make sure their as happy and healthy as they can be in those circumstances. If they seem that they need religious reassurances, he’d happily provide them. Otherwise he’d focus on keeping their physical and mental health good. He’d def start looking for food and supplements with extra Vitamin D to provide for them, and If there are multiple Starlits in that situation, he’d try to introduce them and hope they can be friends, so that they aren’t always alone. He’d also probably start staying up much later too just to make sure he’s around for them as much as he can be.

Question

Answer

What sort of laws and regulations are in effect, and is their anything akin to prison/jail for those who break those laws/regulations? What would general repercussions to committing a crime be?

Yes! The usual type of laws you'd expect. Don't steal, don't trespass, don't assault, don't own illegal things, etc.. The usual laws you'd expect from a well functioning society! And as for punishment for breaking aforementioned laws. It varies, of course. Intensity of the crime, age of the offender, all of that. In general though, Duvayl, and most parts of the world of Urroa, believe in rehabilitation. There are prisons and juvenile detention and all that. But the conditions are far from cruel. And while in said prisons, the offending party has to under go mandatory therapy and rehabilitation sessions. Meeting with therapist, having group sessions, and being given medication if it's needed. Also depending on the age and severity of the crime, the offending party is basically given mandatory patrol, that can range from weeks, months, years, or the rest of their life.

Question

Answer

What sort of items might be considered illegal?

So the usual stuff you'd think of, of course; weapons if you aren't warranted or licensed to carry them. Illegal substances, food's or candies deemed dangerous for consumption, the horns or other parts of what the offender's home kingdom's holy creature is. And the one that'd get you in the most and WORST trouble; Firearms. Long ago they were developed for easier hunting, which turned into easier fighting, which turned it more violent battles and wars. And once some Starkins figured out you could charm them to basically shoot pure magic? They basically became endless weapons of mass destruction, no matter the size or quality. All it took was ONE bad Starkin using it how it shouldn't, and TROVES of innocent lives could be lost. So all the kingdoms unanimously agreed; They had to go. So they were all confiscated, dismantled, and decommissioned. They never made it past what we'd recognize as an old fashioned pirate's musket. Despite this though, some DID try to hide theirs. Bury them away or keep them hidden. The ones that did survive are basically the most sought after Holy Grail of items for those who like to own the odd and macabre. With some even going out to old abandoned towns or villages, digging through old houses or even in the very ground, hoping to find one of these items... If you ARE though, bite your tongue. Even the MENTION of looking for one is bad enough to get you in hot water. And being caught owning one is one of the sure fire ways to basically be put under patrol for the rest of your life without actually causing physical harm to another.

Question

Answer

How does curing a Vice work, is someone allowed to keep the upgrade but be 'over' whatever the vice caused?

Being under a vice influence is treatable, and is "cured" once the afflicted party moves past the emotional and/or mental trauma either caused by the vice, or aggravated by the vice.

And yes you are allowed to keep the upgrades if you choose so!

Question

Answer

Are all Dreamers from the same world and, if so, were Dreamers always Starkins (before Sanje yoinked them)?

No! Dreamers can come from any world.

Question

Answer

So I don't know if this is on the website but this thought hasn't left my head is it possible for a starkin to lose a guardian and if they did what would happen.

Guardians are made of pure magic, the Starlit's magic to be exact! As long as the Starlit lives and breaths, a Guardian will always recover and be around them! In fact, a great deal believe that a Starlit's guardian may even be a part of their very soul! There has never been any recorded instances of a Starlit losing their Guardian, without the Starlit sadly perishing as well.

Question

Answer

Are the leaves and petals on Mum-buns prone to any sort of "shedding" where they may fall off to grow new ones? IF they can fall off without the Mum-bun being considered unhealthy or sick, is it possible these leaves and petals could be boiled and turned into like a tea or medicine? Or are they considered completely inedible?

Yes! Sometimes a mum-bun can get a little too playful or rough, and knock a petal or leaf loose! As long as it looked healthy and felt plump, even fallen, then it's obvious that the little baby is perfectly healthy, but very rambunctious! And as for teas, it depends on both their pedigree and flower type! Some mum-buns grow flowers or leaves that are known not to make very good teas, or are down right poisonous. While it seems that the type that grows on mum-buns aren't deadly levels, they can still cause numb mouths or tummy aches. But some mum-buns do grow flowers that make delicious teas! The wild type mum-buns have a taste that's closer to how they'd taste in the wild, but with a slightly more bitter taste, and stronger effects. The fancy types are usually much more fragrant and relaxing, and the common types always seem to have a much sweeter taste that give you a much needed perk up for your day!

Question

Answer

Are starkin babies raised communally? If so, where?

Yes! While how well these babies and familes are helped and cared for can vary from Kingdom to Kingdom, all strive to make it easy to raise and care for a family! Parents are given assistance when needed, and childcare is a given in each kingdom! Each kingdom's Spire is a place where everyone can drop off their little ones when they're busy, and can trust they'll be taken care of, fed, taught, and safe guarded. The Spire is also the go to for any type of financial troubles, schooling, housing, etc! While some parents would choose to try and care for their young themselves, it's not the norm. Doesn't stop some parents though. Sometimes they think it's a matter of pride of being able to struggle through and still raise their kid all on their own. (despite whatever damage it could cause to their little one in the long run)

Question

Answer

Do cigarettes/cigars exist in Urroa?

Yes, but it's heavily age restricted, and it's like...more "old fashioned". It's not like today's IRL modern cigarettes or cigars. They grow it and dry it, often sometimes themselves. Even roll it. It's not uncommon to see an old Starkin or two with an old fashioned pipe.

Question

Answer

What do you think the general crime rate in Duvayl would be? Are problematic local/world issues something that are rather commonly shown or spoken of, or do they attempt to report more positive news and developments?

One of Duvayl's biggest claim to fames is actually it's low crime rate. They have a ton of stuff in place that make committing crimes very unnecessary. That is to say that crimes don't happen. They're just less likely to be done out of desperation or bad like situations. So usually crimes committed out of hate or spite.

As for news; Both! Bad news is something that should be talked about, it's an event that's happening in the world, and to lie about it or not reporting it, at least in Duvayl, is seen as irresponsible. That being said, good news, happy developments, and over all feel good stuff is shared just as much. Even small local news stories good and bad.

Question

Answer

How exposed to the outer world are the residents of Duvayl?

Duyval doesn't stop news coming in or out, or their people going in or out. Currently, however, due to bizarre magical happenings, a thick fog currently surrounds the Kingdom, keeping people from coming in or going out. The Queen and several Acolytes, Emissaries, and gifted magic users are currently trying to figure out how and why, but so far, all they know is that any attempt to leave the kingdom through the fog, ends up with the Starkin stumbling back in a lost, and confused daze that lasts a few hours.

Question

Answer

How modernized is the Starkin internet? Is it similar to ours or are there differences?

Yes! It's just about as modern as our internet. It can be used to look up information, watch videos, buy items, etc. Granted it's a bit more regulated in the sense that anything reported is taking far more seriously, and they do look into VERY suspicious people and blogs and such. So, basically a lot likes ours, but not as law less.

Question

Answer

Can a non-transfer/dreamer start recalling memories of a past life, it's just they weren't brought there by Sanje? (multiversal reincarnation basically)

Yes! Lore wise, a Starkin can 100% be a Dreamer without being a Dreamer mechanic wise. So, yeah! As long as it's not world breaking, god modding, or lore breaking, you can go nuts with your personal lore! An Acolyte of Sanje would be happy to talk them through it and offer guidance.

Question

Answer

At what age is a Starlit no longer considered a true Starlit?

A Starlit will always be recognized as a Starlit until they are fused with their guardian! And then they are considered young adults!

Question

Answer

Theoretically, could Sanje bring a Starlit's imaginary friend into existence?

Unless that imaginary friend was somehow transmitting their existence from another entire reality to a small child, then no. They have to be an existing soul. Someone that once was. And while yes, a deity can make something out of nothing, there are rules, and bringing a child's make believe pal to life on a whim would be seen as reckless, and Sanje doesn't wanna be scolded by Papa while Mama looks on with disappointment and shaking her head.

Question

Answer

Do Starlits name their own Guardians?

They can if they like! Some do, some don't!

Question

Answer

Are typical playing card suits any different in the world of Urroa? Or are they the same as our Spades, Hearts, Diamonds and Clubs?

Yes, they're the same!

Question

Answer

Can a Guardian talk to their Starlit, like only they can hear it, or do something to help the starlit know they are in danger besides the safety bubble and picking them up?

If you want it to, sure! Lore wise, I imagine it's not every Starlit, but it's also not uncommon. It'd be their own voice, and I could see it acting like a Jiminy Cricket sorta deal! Guardians are part of the Starlit, and feel what they feel and even act on those feelings without warning sometimes. If the Starlit starts to feel unsafe, the guardian will go on guard.

Question

Answer

If a Guardian is drained of energy does it also effect the Starlit?

Yes. Starlit and Guardians are linked through their own natural magics. Which is why when they combine in adulthood, the now Starkin can fly and learn stronger magics. The Guardian is made from a LARGE portion of their magic in order for the best possible protection for the Starlit. If the Guardian has to use a large amount, it becomes weak and faint, and has to rest on their Starlit to regain that strength. If it uses even more than that, it also drains what little magic the Starlit has, making them very ill and weak, and even in some cases, faint. How long it takes to regain their magic and strength varies. It can be as short as one week and as long as 3 month to a year. Also when that happens, the Starlit is basically house/Spire bound. No outdoors.

Question

Answer

What happens to abusive parents?

Depending on the severity of the abuse, a few things. First; The child will be taken away for a certain amount of time at the same time everyday while the parent(s) take mandatory classes and sessions to teach and sort through their parental issues. If they want to keep their child(ren) these classes are a must, or the child will be taken away fully. If the abuse is severe, then the child is taken. Period. And if it's THAT BAD??? Kid taken, then jail time. And if deemed bad enough, can and will be legally barred from parenthood until proven that they can be a good and responsible parent.

Question

Answer

What kind of schooling classes are available at the Spire?

Language Arts, Math, History, Home Ec, Art, P.E., etc! And of course we can't forget magic classes, for all ages and skill levels, AND flying for new adults!

Question

Answer

Mechanic wise, we can have our Starkin stay as a Starlit for as long as we like, but like lore wise how long can a Starlit stay as a Starlit? Has there been any cases of Starlits just refusing to grow up?

They can stay a starlit, canonically, forever if you want them to. A starlit only fuses with their Guardian and grows up when they feel ready for adulthood.

Question

Answer

How long is the lifespan of an adult Starkin?

Now that can vary WILDLY. A little lore bits for you! Delinda is in her mid-thirties, and Terra was the main nursery worker stationed to raise her by her parents. So Terra, and by extension Alnair, are MUCH older than the queen, and are still considered young by Starkin standards! There are a lot of variables that affects how long as Starkin can live, but they are, at the very least, Centennial, with it being common to live 100-200 years old!

Question

Answer

I know mechanically a Starlit needs to be a month old before they can become an adult, but how early can a Starlit become an adult lore wise? If they're still really young when they do, do they still go the school and stuff like that?

It can vary, honestly. Just like in real life, some Starlits are forced to grow up before it's really proper due to circumstances. Bad childhoods, sick parents, losing your parents and feeling the need to become the parent to a younger sibling. A lot. Ideally, a Starlit becomes an adult around 20-22 years of life, while some, sadly, become an adult only about 15-16 years of life. As for schooling, yes! The Spire has school for all ages. Some classes are just for younger or older parties. Mainly magic and flight. A Starlit can only do so much while unfused with their guardian, and of course, can not fly. Once fused, and an adult, they need to be taught safe flight, and how to handle their new, far more stronger magic. But as for math, language arts, science and History etc, all ages are taught this!

Question

Answer

Could Dreamers not understand the language that Starkin speak? And therefore have to learn the language and all that?

Sure why not! I'm sure Sanje does his best to make sure that entering a whole new realm is as smooth as possible, but a lot of what a Dreamer comes in with is also up to the Dreamer themselves. So a Dreamer not knowing the common language is absolutely possible.

Question

Answer

Are all Guardians the same size or do they scale with their Starlit?

Nope! Some Guardians are bigger and some smaller, but generally stay the same size through out the Starlit's youth!

Question

Answer

If the Starlit is really small, could the Guardian potentially be the same size?

Yep! Some babies just stay little, and the Starlits are hatched, generally, about the size of their Guardian, if not smaller depending on outside situations.

Question

Answer

Guardians and Starlits need to be depicted together in art to count for art, but how far can a Guardian and Starlit stray apart from each other? Is there a tangible force that keeps them together? Or just their emotional, magical, etc ties that keep them from separating? Could it be unhealthy for body or mind of Starlits and Guardians if one was to physically separate the two entities a far distance?

Yes! If a Guardian got stuck, or if someone tried to keep it away from their Starlit, the longer they're separated the weaker the Starlit gets. Granted, this doesn't last TOO long, since the longer they're apart, while the Starlit gets sick, the Guardian gets erratic. It'll start fighting, thrashing, and going nuts until, A. It gets unstuck and rushes back to their Starlit, or B. Whoever tried to trap or take it, gets a nasty shock when it breaks free and/or trashes their kidnapper and returns to their Starlit.

Question

Answer

Is the nursery just an orphanage for Starlits without parents / daycare or somethin for Starlits in general?

The answer is; Yes! The Nursery is a part of The Spire, which is a large local hub in just about every kingdom. It's used for School, shelter, food, and all kinds of assistance you could think of! Which also includes the Nursery! It's a daycare for parents who work and want to make sure their child is cared for, and yes, it does take in and house orphans. It's also where the little ones get their schooling! So parents would drop them off, head to work, the kiddos would learn, and then go off to play till they're picked up! Unless they live there, of course.
