Creation Guide

A guide to help get you started in the group of Starkins!

A Starkin is a dragon-like being created many moons ago by the great deities, Urroa the sun and Ummit the moon. Starlits, an adolescent Starkin, start off frail but the deities have blessed them with Guardians! These Guardians are small orbs with wings that have magical properties which are used to protect their assigned Starlit. The wings always resemble a specific deity that has blessed that Starkin. The most prominent Guardians seen are the sun and moon deities. As a Starlit grows into an adult, their Guardian then fuses with them and grants their flight to their Starkin.

Starlit

Adults

Starlits start with a pair of short horns, long floppy ears, two nostrils, four legs, three fingers/toes, a plump tail, and a pair of small fangs!

As they grow, these features also grow! They also have two stances as adults. These stances are sun and moon, respectively. The sun stance has a longer torso and tends to have stubbier legs. While the moon stance is more of a stocky build and typically has thicker limbs. The stance your Starkin takes up is entirely up to you! The guardians do not determine this.

Sizes between Starkin can also vary greatly. They range from 2ft - 10ft, while Starlits are 1-5ft. The choice is up to you. They can also be quadrapedal or bipedal at will!

Starkin are known to mutate and gain different forms or upgrades! These are seen as blessings from the deities in order to better handle the world around them.

Making Your Own Starkin

You are also able to combine items with your MYO slots to have your Starkin be an adult, an available subspecies, or both! Without any items, they will need to be a standard Starkin seen throughout this guide!

Dreamer slots cannot combine with items.

When coloring your Starkin, keep these notes in mind:

  • Palettes

    • Every MYO Starkin will start with one of these palettes, except under special circumstances (such as events or beta testing)​

    • You may choose any one of these palettes for your Starkin; you cannot mix and match them

  • Colors

    • You may use up to 5 colors total for your Starkin!​​

    • One of these 5 colors can be a freebie color, meaning it doesn't have to be from the palette you chose and can be any color you can imagine aside from solid black!

    • Any of these colors may be the base color for your Starkin.

  • Eyes

    • Eyes can be any color you would like!​ Including solid black or white.

  • Mouth

    • Teeth and tongue must be natural colors to start with! (Off-white/white and pinkish respectively)​

Guardians

Click here to learn about Guardians! Every Starkin is born with one. There are multiple to chose from and they hold a great importance to your Starkin. Please read through the page to know how they work!

​When creating your Starkin, be sure to follow these guidelines for your application!

  • 2 Small pointy horns

  • 2 Small teeth (can be anywhere)

  • Thick, medium length tail

  • 4 legs (make sure at least part of all of them are seen)

  • 3 Digits on each foot/hand (make sure to show this on at least half the limbs your Starkin has!)

  • Big floppy ears with an inside section

  • Solid colored eyes

  • A visible snoot and forehead

  • Can be bipedal or quadrupedal!

If your Starkin comes with upgrades, make sure all upgrades can be seen clearly in the application! Add extra headshots or full bodies as needed!

Color placements for your Starkin can be any simple shapes.

  • Large Placements

  • Up to 5 hard points/corners in a shape

  • Rounded shapes

  • Digits

  • Horns

  • Ears

  • Overlapping shapes

  • Small placements

  • Detailed shapes

  • Thin lines

Filling Out the Application

 Simply add a full body, digitally colored, drawing of your Starkin in the space on the right. Draw your Guardian in the box provided. Fill out their name, and fill in the spots for their colors. Do not put any clothing or accessories on your Starkin for their application! That's all there is to it!

Please do not alter the application any! They help us see what is what at a glance.

After that, you will need to fill out the form below somewhere with your visual application.

Guardian: [Sun or Moon]

Age: [Starlit or Adult]

ID#: [Add this after you're approved but before adding your app to the group]

Upgrades: [N/A if they don't have any]

You may make an adult using Flight Goggles. Adults CANNOT be made using free MYO, Event, or Alpha/Beta slots unless combined with Flight Goggles. You CAN make adults with transfer slots without Flight Goggles. Look through the the Adult Guide and Dreamer Guide for more information!

Then you will need to link your gold coin tracker. To learn more about the coin tracker, read here!

After you submit your application to your platform of choice, go over to Discord and submit them to our #approvals channel using the pinned form (found in the Fun Group Things category). Once your Starkin is approved, we will send you an invite to the DeviantArt group, comment your Starkin's ID, and you will then be able to submit your application to the group's application folder on DeviantArt!
